Client's help

Welcome to our Website

Arbitration & Litigation

Our team of lawyers has many years experience in international arbitration. We work in close collaboration with each client, making every effort to arrive at a commercially acceptable solution, whether by arbitration, ADR or a combination of the two.

While construction disputes remain a principal specialty, we have arbitration experience in many other areas of international commerce, including joint ventures and sale of goods contracts.

Our services cover the entire spectrum from advice on arbitration clauses and complex multi-party arbitration agreements to the enforcement of arbitration awards. We handle cases under many of the principal institutional rules including ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and CIETAC as well as ad hoc arbitration.

We act for a wide range of clients including sovereign states and major international companies.

Our Services include but are not limited to:

  1. Drafting the arbitration agreement
  2. Choosing the arbitration rules
  3. Appointing the arbitration tribunal
  4. Conducting the proceedings
  5. Enforcing the arbitration award
  6. Selecting the appropriate ADR alternatives

When our clients' needs require litigation, they can be confident that our experienced litigation attorneys will develop and implement practical, effective, and cost-efficient litigation strategies to help them successfully achieve their goals. Always mindful of our clients' best interests, our litigation attorneys strive to achieve the best possible outcome in every matter – whether through trial, arbitration, mediation, or negotiation of a favorable settlement.

VLO’s litigation attorneys are committed to using their collective experience and the experience of attorneys in other practice groups such as our corporate and business law groups to make sure that our clients receive the highest quality litigation services available in a timely, responsive, and cost-efficient manner.
